Classic Beer Battered Fish


95g Easy Beer Batter (Original or Lemon Pepper)
130 mls of chilled beer (preferably lager)
Fish fillets
Cooking oil 


  1. Empty half a packet of Easy Beer Batter into a bowl (95g).
  2. Mix with enough beer or soda water until thick and smooth (about 130ml). That leaves plenty of beer leftover – you know what to do.
  3. Dry your fish fillet with a paper towel, cut into pieces and then add to the batter.
  4. Heat oil in a non-stick frypan, ensuring your oil is at least 4cm deep.
  5. Cook fish pieces in hot oil until golden brown and crispy on either side. Beauty!
  6. Garnish with wedges of lemon, and serve with salad or fries.
