Battered fish bites with one of our Fogdog Original beer Batter / Lemon Pepper or use Gluten Free Tempura batter served in a tortilla with a small salsa or salad makes a lovely brunch, lunch or snack. You can also make larger fish fillets and serve as a dinner with your fresh fish, salad or salsa.
Fogdog batter of choice.
500-700g Firm fresh fish cut into bite sized pieces
6 plum tomatoes, diced
1 medium mango, peeled and diced
1/2 small red onion, diced
1 medium chilli, seeded and diced
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tbsp lemon juice
Salt and pepper to taste
For the salsa gently mix together all the ingredients in a medium bowl. Refrigerate for 1 hour to allow flavors to combine.
When the salsa has rested in the fridge heat your oil and cook your battered fish-bites in batches, drain on paper towels and serve straight away on the wraps with the salsa or your choice of seasonal salad.
