Met Fogdog out on the Hauraki Gulf. Not only is their product excellent he’s a top bloke. I recommend the Cajun and the Tempura.
I need to congratulate you on some awesome products in the Fogdog range – we are a huge fan of your Beer Batter, Tempura batter and Panko breadcrumbs. Haven’t yet tried the fritter mix, one day I will get to that.

We live Papamoa Beach and we go contiki fishing and always come home with our limit.
Last week we decided to try your batter with our very fresh fish with the grandchildren, it was very very popular.

“I was a pro cook and always made my own fritter and beer batters. Screw you Fogdog. Yours is so much better than mine ever was!!!! And mine was good. I actually added cornmeal and extra beer to make corn fritters and omg. Yum. Beer batter…perfect. used Corona and added Lime zest and Chilli.
“Being gluten free I’m stoked with the fabulous Panko crumbs.
Always use it. Cooks well after a dunk in tapioca flour , then a beaten egg , then a soak in the crumbs cooked in some yummy NZ butter. A squat of lemon to top it off.
Everyone loves them and they don’t believe they are gluten free!”
“The Fogdog Tempura batter mix is amazing! I used soda water instead of ice water but otherwise followed the directions on the packet. Half a packet covered 2 large Blue Warehou fillets cut into 6 small fillets no problem. I was very impressed with how well the batter stuck to the fish and how quickly it puffed up when it hit the hot oil.”
