Battered Fish with Lemon Butter Sauce
Easy Beer Batter (Original) or Tasty Tempura Batter for gluten free alternative.
4 fish fillets of choice patted dry
2 tablespoons butter, chilled
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1 tablespoon chopped fresh (or 1 teaspoon dry) dill
Salt and white pepper to taste
- Melt butter with garlic in warm (not hot!) pan or small pot. Add lemon juice, salt and pepper to the butter and stir, warming briefly over medium heat, 2-3 minutes.
- Remove from heat and add dill and stir through.
- Batter and cook fish as per Fogdog packet instructions.
- Drain battered fillets on paper towels and serve with choice of salad or sides. Drizzle sauce over fish or serve on the side in a dipping bowl.
